With over 13 years of diverse experience as a physiotherapist, Alana brings a wealth of clinical knowledge, leadership, and operational insight to the Clinical Team Lead role at Umbo. At 34, she has built a career grounded in client-centred care and a passion for team development across a range of healthcare settings.
Alana’s professional journey spans both hands-on clinical roles and strategic leadership positions. Most recently, as Clinical Manager at Healthproof Allied Health Services, she oversaw multidisciplinary teams and clinical governance initiatives, fostering excellence in service delivery. Prior to that, she served as Regional Manager with The Better Health Generation, where she led large-scale operations, supported clinician growth, and implemented quality improvement frameworks across the region.
A core strength throughout her career has been the ability to build strong, authentic relationships with clients, patients, and stakeholders. She is deeply committed to understanding individual needs and always striving to achieve the best possible outcomes—both clinically and personally—for those under her care. This dedication to connection and quality underpins every aspect of her practice.
Having worked in both metro and regional areas—including FIFO roles—Alana has a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities in delivering allied health services in varied environments. From early clinical roles at Physio Interactive and Kinnect to consultancy positions at Prudence Rehab and Konekt Workcare, her work has consistently focused on outcomes-driven care, stakeholder engagement, and empowering others through mentorship.
