Ciara

Occupational Therapist
Lives on Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung land (she/her)

Ciara is an occupational therapist who works with toddlers, children, and adolescents and their families. She supports young people with neurodevelopmental and physical conditions such as autism, ADHD, developmental delay, learning disabilities, and intellectual disability. She uses family-centred, play-based approaches and values strong collaboration with parents, schools, and other professionals.

Ciara helps children build key developmental skills such as play, social interaction, fine and gross motor coordination, and emotional regulation. She works on supporting school readiness and ongoing participation at school. She also works closely with educators to adapt classroom environments and teaching strategies to meet diverse needs. Families are guided in how to implement practical, easy-to-follow strategies at home to support their child’s goals in everyday routines.

Ciara has over ten years of experience in paediatric occupational therapy, beginning her career overseas doing in-person intervention, as well as delivering services through telehealth for years during the pandemic, before moving to Australia. Her previous experience has focused on early intervention and school-aged support through home programs, teletherapy, and team-based care involving educators, therapists, and medical professionals.
