Emily is an Occupational Therapist with over 7 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a diverse range of needs and life stages. Her key areas of strength and professional interest are mental health and supporting neurodiverse individuals, where she supports people to better understand themselves, build practical skills, navigate everyday challenges, and work towards the things that matter most to them.

Emily has experience working with individuals with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, neurological disorders, physical and intellectual disabilities, neurodivergence, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and sensory processing differences. She has extensive experience working with individuals under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), providing clinical documentation, and delivering individualised intervention and support.

Emily takes a client-centred, strengths-based, holistic, evidence-informed and trauma-informed approach, working collaboratively with each person to understand what matters most to them and develop practical strategies that support their goals, wellbeing, and participation in everyday life. She believes therapy should recognise and build on an individual’s strengths, values, interests, and unique experiences, rather than focusing solely on challenges or limitations.

Emily has completed additional training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfullness and sensory approaches, which complement her occupational therapy practice and strengthen her work across mental health, neurodiversity, emotional and sensory regulation, executive functioning, and daily life skills. She is passionate about supporting people to develop greater self-understanding, build confidence and practical skills, and take meaningful steps towards living an authentic, fulfilling, and meaningful life.

Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of South Australia in 2018. She also spent time volunteering for an NGO in Cambodia, working alongside children with disabilities and their families. In addition to her occupational therapy practice, Emily is a certified yoga and meditation instructor, having completed a 500-hour yoga teacher training in India in 2020. Her experience in yoga, meditation, occupational therapy, and mental health contributes to her holistic approach to supporting wellbeing.

In both her personal life and professional career, Emily holds a strong belief that everyone should have the opportunity to live a happy and meaningful life. Outside of work you’ll find her practicing yoga, surfing, enjoying the outdoors or traveling the world.
