Speech Pathologist

Francesca came to speech pathology after starting a family, completing a Master of Speech Pathology at the University of Melbourne in 2012. She originally studied Linguistics at the Australian National University.
Francesca has worked for the past 9 years primarily as an early intervention speech pathologist in community health in Melbourne’s outer suburbs. She also worked at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) and in private practice. Working with children with Autism is a special interest, and Francesca has expertise in assessment (ADOS-2) and intervention (DIR-Floortime, PECS, Hanen). She has also worked with children with hearing loss and adults.
Francesca particularly enjoys working with culturally and linguistically diverse families. She believes that respectful, trusting partnerships between therapists, clients and families are the foundation of successful outcomes. She believes also that therapy can and should be fun and engaging, tapping into client strengths and interests.
