Leanne works with young children, specialised in the area of supporting autistic children and their families, as well as children with speech and language delays or fluency difficulties. Leanne is a supportive and inclusive therapist with a passion for neurodiversity affirming practice. Leanne offers strengths-based and family-centred support which is positive and collaborative. She enjoys coaching families to understand and support social communication differences for autistic children.

Leanne has worked as a Speech Pathologist for about 12 years. She completed a Bachelor of Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland and has also worked as a research assistant, contributing to a small number of academic publications. Leanne has trained in a range of intervention approaches and frameworks for autistic children, including the Hanen More Than Words program, Social Communication Emotional Regulation and Transactional Support (SCERTS) Model, Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) and DIR-Floortime, as well as autism assessment tools such as the ADOS-2 and MIGDAS-2. Leanne is also trained in the Lidcome program for children with fluency difficulties. When she is not working, Leanne enjoys performing theatre and practicing Spanish.
