Mikaela obtained her Speech-Language Pathology degree in South Africa and has recently become certified to practice in Australia. She has over 4 years of experience working online, and loves the accessibility, flexibility and comfort that online therapy brings to her clients and their families.
Mikaela supports preschool and school-aged children in developing their speech, language and literacy skills, and takes a personalised approach to therapy, recognising each child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals.
A key focus of Mikaela’s work is helping her clients feel confident, motivated, and engaged, by developing customised materials and resources that reflect each child’s interests, making learning more meaningful and enjoyable.
In her spare time, Mikaela enjoys going for walks in nature and along the Sydney coast. She also loves discovering new cafés and restaurants, attending comedy and theatre performances, and spending time with her family, friends, and her playful tuxedo cat.
