Mikayla is a generalist therapist with a focus on supporting children and families in achieving their communication goals. She adopts a family-centred and strengths-based approach, prioritising building confidence and promoting autonomy. Mikayla is experienced in working with the NDIS in non-profit settings, and she values a neuro-affirming practice in her work. After graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2020, Mikayla returned to her rural roots to collaborate closely with local communities. She has pursued further training in paediatric feeding, Hanen More Than Words, Secret Agents Society (SAS), and Key Word Sign. In her spare time, Mikayla enjoys reading or spending time with family and friends.
