Nicky Is an Occupational Therapist who has worked in various paediatric settings within schools, preschools, community and home environments. Nicky is passionate about providing a service to children and their families that is centred around meaningful, strengths-based, participation in occupation and learning environments.

Nicky graduated from the Australian Catholic University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Throughout her studies, Nicky completed clinical placements across New South Wales and the Northern Territory in a range of settings including; Paediatrics, Rehabilitation hospitals, Mental Health and Aged Care. During her late school and university studies, Nicky volunteered in several trips to South East Asia, primarily with a local Disability Orphanage in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Nicky moved to Griffith in NSW in 2021 to work for a not-for profit servicing this rural/regional area as well as other local towns as a Paediatric OT. In 2023, Nicky moved back to Sydney to work in schools as an OT as well as continuing her work as a Disability Support Worker. Nicky has also worked part time as a Disability Support Worker for over 6 years supporting her clients and families to maximise their independence and enjoyment of daily life across their environments.

Nicky has undertaken additional training in DIRFLOORTIME. She has also engaged in a number of professional development courses and opportunities to develop her knowledge and ability to provide a person-centered OT service. These have included courses in: neurodiversity affirming practice, trauma-informed care, yoga, sensory approaches, Executive Functioning, professional development in self-care (toileting, dressing) and play.
