While working with older people, Stephanie focuses on improving the level of function through equipment prescription with the goal of providing a greater level of independence while reducing the level of support required; while with children, she focuses on working with the skills required to do basic occupations by utilising play-based therapy, positive reinforcement, sensory diets and cognitive behavioural therapy. Stephanie also notes that it is necessary to build a relationship with her clients to create a positive learning environment as well as incorporate parents into the intervention to maximise the outcome of the therapy.
