Theresa graduated from University College Cork in 2012. Since graduating, Theresa has worked in public and private healthcare settings across the world including school settings, hospitals and community (adult & paediatrics) services. She enjoys supporting children and young adults in achieving their chosen goals, and finding success and fulfilment in their everyday life. This support can include navigating life transitions, self-care skills, self-regulation, emotional-social development and enhancing gross and fine motor skills performance .
Theresa has worked with a range of diagnoses including supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Coordination Disorder. Through adopting a thorough, client-centred approach to therapy, Theresa ensures that at each step, the client is central to decision-making and included in all aspects of therapy planning, from supportive assessment practices to therapeutic intervention activities planning. She works to ensure that each session is fun and engaging, and strives to build a strong connection with her clients and their caregivers, which she believes is integral to achieving successful outcomes.
Outside of work, Theresa is busy looking after her four boys, and will most often be found at the soccer pitch or by the beach. In a spare moment, Theresa enjoys relaxing on her swing seat with a cup of Irish tea!
