Vanessa has extensive experience working in both public and private health sectors. She has worked with clients across the life span from birth to older age. Her most recent areas of specialism are supporting adults with neurological disorders and head and neck cancer. Vanessa has supported many individuals to access the NDIS especially in their transition from acute care in hospital back into the community. She provides individualised therapy focused on functional goals to support people to do the things that matter the most to them. She believes in making services accessible to everyone and strives to empower clients and their significant others to harness their strengths and to know how to manage any areas of need.

Vanessa has a Bachelor of Speech Sciences (gained in the UK) and worked in Australia for 17 years. She has completed many post graduate trainings including advanced dysphagia management, goal setting approaches and aphasia management. In the area of Early Childhood Intervention, she is trained in It Takes Two to Talk (Hanen). Alongside being a Speech Pathologist, Vanessa has worked as a Health Case Manager with children and young people in Out of Home Care to listen to their health and overall wellbeing goals and to connect them with relevant services.

Outside of work, you’ll find Vanessa spending time with her two children, exploring new places ideally involving plenty of sunshine and the ocean!
